Throughout the year, there will usually be a few sample-based or slower electronic / ambient pieces that are harder to work into the general mixes so I like to isolate them here. Good for reading, falling asleep, or just drowning out the guy that plays that Chinese violin in the Subway (the Erhu, it’s the worst). Kyte provides some more heart-wrenching electronic pop that would fit in just fin on a straight-to-DVD ‘Garden State’ sequel and Royksopp turns in a great rework of ‘I Don’t Know What I Can Save You From’ by Kings of Convenience.
